Motivational Quote Monday: Take it step by step…

Some journeys start out with a leap of faith.

But most journeys start step by step and day by day.

At least that’s how I need to think about my journey to health. I can’t think about just jumping into a new lifestyle and instantly reaching my goals.

Rather I need to take it step by step. I can jump into my new lifestyle, but I can’t get bogged down because my goal hasn’t been met quite yet.

Whether you’re on a journey of health or something else…

The Start of My Health Journey!

I’m on my path to eating healthy and feeling happy!

Last year when I was vegan, working out, and generally healthy all around–I weighed 120 pounds.

I am now up to 160 pounds.

I’ll keep track of my weight loss as I go.

Maybe you think I look fine, but I don’t think so. And it’s not just skin deep.

 I want to be HEALTHY!
I’m only  3 days on this vegan diet and I’m less bloated, my skin is clearing, and the fat is loosening!

Here’s to my journey! Thanks for going on it with me!

(Recipes will be coming soon!)

I’m back!

After a year long hiatus, I’m back! Back to being vegan and back to blogging!

Earlier this year was my last year of college and I got super derailed. I stopped eating vegan, started eating bad foods again, and gained 40 pounds!

So, join me on my health journey! I want to get back to the me last year, and maybe you can gain something too!

I’ll start posting recipes, tips, and more soon!

Here’s a sneak preview of recipes to come…

A Natural Anxiety Remedy You Haven’t Thought Of!

Feeling anxious, depressed, angry, or any other negative feeling?

First: click here for my 4 Natural Anxiety Remedies.

Next: try grounding!

It’s like meditating, but easier.

I try to do this once a day, in addition to meditating once a day.

NOTE: Grounding and meditation don’t have to be religious–they are simply helpful tools for a happy life!

So, how do you ground yourself?

Just go outside and stand, sit, or lay down on the ground.

You can also lean against a tree🌲 or sit at the base of the tree.

When it gets too cold❄️, you can still ground yourself indoors.🏑

There is no wrong way to ground yourself.

You can imagine roots coming out of your body and into the earth.

You can pray or say a mantra.

Or, just enjoy nature.

Look at the trees…🌳

Flowers…🌷

Grass…🌾

and the sky.🌈

Appreciate the beauty of nature around you.πŸŒ„

Most importantly “ground” yourself to nature. Feel a connection to the earth and the nature around you.

I know it sounds weird, crazy, and a little out there, but trust me! You should feel more calm and positive.

🌌Also, ground yourself to the earth via the lunar cycle.πŸŒ’πŸŒ“πŸŒ•πŸŒ“πŸŒ˜

🌚Ground yourself while the moon is new, and when it’s full. Sometimes seeing the beauty of the moon is calming in itself.🌝

To find out when the next new moonπŸŒ‘ and full moonπŸŒ• will be, click here.

Just try grounding once, I dare you! Let me know how it goes!

Writing Tips Wednesday: Something To Help You WRITE!

Hey there! Thanks✨ for visiting Happy Healthy Noms for the monthly installment Writing Tips Wednesday!πŸ““

This week I have a writing tip from me, a writing quote from a famous author, and a writing resource, and a bonus tidbit!

Have you thought about where you write

Do you have a special writing spot?

Sometimes having a designated writing place can help spark your creativity!

This space can be in your house–which I have.

Or, it can be outside of your house such as Starbucks, a library, your backyard, anywhere!

Recently, I set up a dedicated reading and writing area in my room!

I have found that I can write better when I am comfortable, thus the big comfy chair and my snuggie.

Around my big comfy chair, I added positive quotes for motivation, and books for inspiration.

I also added cute or interesting stuff so that it’s not too serious!

Finally, great lighting is important, so I found a lamp that I like.

Having a dedicated spot helps me focus, and the amenities I put near me keeps me motivated.

πŸ™ŒLet me know what your new or usual writing spot is!

⭐️This week’s writing quote:  (Image made by me, using QuotesCreator)

I know, another Stephen King quote, but this man knows how to write. I mean besides being a best-selling author, he writes more than anyone I’ve heard of.

It is said that he writes every day, even on his birthday and Christmas!

πŸ‘‰This week’s writing resource:

Read a book or start reading a book that’s in the genre that you write in (or want to write in.)

You’ll be surprised how fast that the ideas for your book will start flowing

What book I’m currently reading: Obsidian Butterfly by: Laurell K. Hamilton

It’s the 9th book of my favorite series: Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter! The first book is Guilty Pleasures.

This series is so great. Anita’s famous quote is, “I don’t date vampires, I stake them.”

The books have the perfect amount of mystery, action, and romance!

Until next time, remember: readπŸ“– and write✏️ every day!
