Tidbit Tuesday: Ordering Vegan at Chinese Restaurants

Today on Tidbit Tuesday, I will show you how to order vegan at Chinese restaurants!

Most Chinese restaurants list your “meat” options as shrimp, beef, or chicken. But did you know there is a fourth option that is vegan friendly?

Thats right! Most Chinese restaurants don’t list it, but they do in fact have Tofu!

My favorites have been General Tso Tofu and Seasame Tofu! Make sure you order white rice instead of fried rice, and you’re good to go!

Also, remember to order a veggie spring roll instead of an egg roll.

Until next time, eat your veggies and enjoy your Chinese food too!

Tex-Mex Tofu Burrito Bowl

This week on Foodie Friday I have a simple, but delicious dish!

Tex-Mex Tofu Burrito Bowl!✨

Tofu made with: cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, nutritional yeast, salt, and tofu.

Served with: lettuce, crushed tortilla chips, salsa, and Danita Foods shredded Vegan cheese!

Until next time, have your veggies and eat your cookies too!

Zesty Asian-inspired Tempeh

Hey there! Thanks✨ for visiting Happy Healthy Noms for this week’s Foodie Friday!🍴

Today I am sharing a simple dish that has become a staple for dinner! It’s super yummy!

Zesty Asian-inspired Tempeh

Marinate tempeh in soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, and hoisin sauce.

Cook until light brown in a pan.

Serve on top of rice with cilantro, a lime, and green onions!

You’re probably wondering what tempeh is, right?

It’s actually a lot like Tofu, but less processed. It’s made of fermented soy compacted together. It’s tastes different than Tofu. In my opinion, it’s more flavorful and tasty!

Until next time, eat your veggies and have your tempeh too!

The Start of My Health Journey!

I’m on my path to eating healthy and feeling happy!

Last year when I was vegan, working out, and generally healthy all around–I weighed 120 pounds.

I am now up to 160 pounds.

I’ll keep track of my weight loss as I go.

Maybe you think I look fine, but I don’t think so. And it’s not just skin deep.

 I want to be HEALTHY!
I’m only  3 days on this vegan diet and I’m less bloated, my skin is clearing, and the fat is loosening!

Here’s to my journey! Thanks for going on it with me!

A Natural Anxiety Remedy You Haven’t Thought Of!

Feeling anxious, depressed, angry, or any other negative feeling?

First: click here for my 4 Natural Anxiety Remedies.

Next: try grounding!

It’s like meditating, but easier.

I try to do this once a day, in addition to meditating once a day.

NOTE: Grounding and meditation don’t have to be religious–they are simply helpful tools for a happy life!

So, how do you ground yourself?

Just go outside and stand, sit, or lay down on the ground.

You can also lean against a tree🌲 or sit at the base of the tree.

When it gets too cold❄️, you can still ground yourself indoors.🏡

There is no wrong way to ground yourself.

You can imagine roots coming out of your body and into the earth.

You can pray or say a mantra.

Or, just enjoy nature.

Look at the trees…🌳

Flowers…🌷

Grass…🌾

and the sky.🌈

Appreciate the beauty of nature around you.🌄

Most importantly “ground” yourself to nature. Feel a connection to the earth and the nature around you.

I know it sounds weird, crazy, and a little out there, but trust me! You should feel more calm and positive.

🌌Also, ground yourself to the earth via the lunar cycle.🌒🌓🌕🌓🌘

🌚Ground yourself while the moon is new, and when it’s full. Sometimes seeing the beauty of the moon is calming in itself.🌝

Just try grounding once, I dare you! Let me know how it goes!
